If this is the first time your Hiblow HP80 has stopped, all you need is the repair kit to rebuild your aerator. Hiblow air pumps need to be rebuilt about every 3 to 6 years, depending on where you live. One thing to look for is red dust in the unit; this means the magnetic rod block is getting too close to the coils. The first four numbers are your month and year made in that order. Anything under 10 years should be able to be rebuilt. To check this, remove the four screws on the base of the pump and open the Hiblow hp80. Once the aerator is open, on the top in the middle of the unit, there are two copper contacts; or safety shut off switch. If it’s the contacts take a screwdriver and touch them together, the unit can make a rattle; normally this is the rod blocks hitting the chamber block due to the diaphragm being torn.
