Gast Septic Air Pump Rebuild Kits

Overview

Has your rotary vane air compressor stopped working?  There is a good chance that the vanes in the aerator have worn down or broken. A rebuild kit may be a much more economical choice than replacing the whole aerator.

Even the most robust aerators will require regular maintenance. Rotary vane air pumps are sensitive to foreign particles interfering with their vanes. Their air filters are critical to preserving the vanes for as long as possible. The filters should be inspected regularly and replaced if a substantial amount of dirt has built up on the filter.

After a substantial amount of time, the vanes will wear down against their housing. Eventually, they will wear down too much to move air through the air compressor. Fortunately, spare vanes air available for these air compressors.

Rebuild kits for rotary vane air pumps only take a few minutes to install, and include all the usual components that are susceptible to wear and tear. These kits include new filters, O rings, gasket, and vanes.

Aerators are responsible for injecting air into your septic system. If the aerator breaks down, air will no longer be entering the tank, and the bacteria that need oxygen will die. After several days of the aerator being broken, the effluent leaving the sprinklers will start producing a foul odor. Replacing or repairing the air pump as quickly as possible may prevent that foul odor and eliminate it.
