Bottom suction pumps have a screen near the bottom where they draw in effluent, and are particularly useful if you are trying to get the most volume out of your pump tank.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe middle suction variety have an intake towards the middle of their body. Installers often favor middle suction pumps because they have an inlet that is farther away from any sediment that may settle to the bottom of the pump tank.
