The rebuild kit also comes with instructions, so you can try to tackle this project yourself.

Is there an installation guide with the kit? I am most interested in knowing if there is a preferred direction for the vanes. I found mine broken when I opened the unit up.
Yes instructions come with it. The vanes have an angle cut in so does the metal rotor the vane slides in the same way that rotor is cut. We have videos on how to do this as well.
