  • With the screen located in the middle, solid material settles out, allowing the pump’s intake screen to remain clear. The Schaefer E Series Effluent Pump was designed for both aerobic drip and spray septic systems and is an excellent option if you are looking to replace your current mid-suction pump. The efficient, proven design of the 1/2 HP motor pumps 20 gallons per minute (gpm) and lasts on average 10-15 years. The 1 1/4 top connection is the industry standard, so it’s quick and easy to swap the new pump for the old without worrying about needing a modification.

The construction of the Schaefer E Series septic tank pump is of the highest quality. Stainless steel and thermoplastic materials used in construction are tough, will not corrode and are resistant to mineral and metal damage. The pumps are built with heavy duty (300V, 10 foot SJOOW) motor leads and a ceramic bearing sleeve which translate to years of trouble-free operation. The large surface area of the hex rubber bearing ensures shaft stability and keeps particles away from bearing surfaces and the carbon phenolic upthrust washer prevents excessive wear even with heavy use.

These well-built pumps are made to last with minimal maintenance. Though we generally sell these pumps for aerobic septic tank applications, these sturdy pumps are also great for ornamental fountains and waterfalls. When you change your pump, we suggest that you also replace the float that triggers the pump’s operation. ATER mechanical floats are an excellent choice and we highly recommend them. Prior to installing a new pump you should have your tank pumped out by a qualified professional. Taking these steps will ensure your new pump operates smoothly for many years to come.

Please Note: When replacing these Water Pumps, the pump float must also be replaced. We will not warranty these water pumps if the float is not purchased. Please follow the below link to order the pump and float together.
