QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • In the picture it shows another piece on the bottom. It square and hollow and open on both ends. Is that peice really needed

The square piece youre describing is part of the single-body housing of the filter body, it's there so that water flows into the filter horizontally, instead of vertically. If effluent flows into the filter directly from the bottom, the water flow may carry solids along with it from deeper in the tank, ideally you're wanting to only sample from the middle layer of your tank between the floating scum and the settled scum layers.

  • Is that a 4 inch pipe?

Yes, it's a 4 inch sch40 female connection, and it also comes with an adapter for SDR (thin-wall) as well.
