Why does my air alarm run intermittently?
An intermittent air alarm could be caused by many things, including a bad air connection inside the tank, improperly-installed diaphragms inside the pump, leaking/broken gaskets, pump going out, etc. Usually best to call a septic professional to determine the cause of the alarm.
Effluent Pumps
I just replaced my pump. Why do my spray heads have low pressure?
If you just recently replaced your septic effluent pump, but your sprinklers aren't spraying far, then they may be clogged. Depending on the brand of the sprinklers, you may be able to remove and clean a small screen at the bottom of the sprinkler. Otherwise you may have to replace the spray head entirely. - Another possibility is a broken pipe beneath one of your septic sprinklers.
