This kit includes a 24" diameter riser, a secure cover, and all necessary installation hardware. Each component is made from heavy-duty, UV-resistant polyethylene, engineered to resist corrosion, moisture, and long-term outdoor exposure. Note: Dimensions shown are for the kit base. This model includes a 3" safety pan with an inner diameter of 20" due to a slight bevel. Dome lids add approximately 1" to overall height. Upgrades to flat lids are available for an additional cost. Remove any existing concrete lid before installation. Please confirm diameter and height before ordering. Return shipping costs for incorrectly ordered sizes are the customer’s responsibility.
Once the riser is installed on the top of the tank, and the concrete cap or lid is removed from the tank, will the waist, push up to the top of the riser or stay in the tank for the most part?
The effluent level in your septic tank (under normal operating conditions) will usually remain right at the bottom of the outlet pipe. That being said, if the outlet is blocked, or some other issue arises, it is possible for your tank to "backup" or overflow into the riser stack. However in this scenario, whether or not you remove the plug wont typically make a difference since the weight of the water from the home and field will usually pop that plug up a bit anyways. It's usually better for effluent to overflow outside your home, rather than inside.
