    Has your Mo-Dad 500 linear diaphragm aerator stopped working? If so, don’t immediately assume that you have to buy a replacement air pump. Instead, you may be able to save money and easily repair the pump with a Mo-Dad 500 septic air pump rebuild kit.

    The Mo-Dad 500 pump rebuild kit pump is made for pumps encased in aluminum housing (while the Mo-Dad 500-40 line is intended for pumps with a plastic housing).

    This kit includes the following components:

    • 2 Diaphragms
    • 2 Mounting blocks
    • Air filter
    • Safety pin
    • Plastic shims for magnet alignment.


    Please note that:

    Red dust built up inside of the aerator is an indication that the coils are rusting and that it’s time to replace the air pump, rather than rebuild it.

    Before rebuilding or replacing the air pump in your aerobic septic tank system, it’s strongly recommended that you check the applicable laws, regulations and requirements in your region to assure compliance.
